Gladiator II was one of the biggest box office disappointments of 2024. Although the film earned over $460 million at the global box office, it still boasts an estimated budget of around $250 million and a marketing budget of around $100 million, which left its break-even point at more than $600 million by most estimates. After it wrapped up its theatrical run, Gladiator 2 premiered on Paramount+, where it had been streaming exclusively for the last few months. While it is still streaming on Paramount+, it also recently landed on a new streamer. Gladiator 2 debuted on Prime Video yesterday, and the film wasted no time climbing to the #1 spot on the streamer’s charts. It earned scores of 70% from critics and 82% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
