To think about it, maybe Joffrey Baratheon wasn’t the absolute worst thing to happen to King’s Landing, as his actor was at least having fun during his death scene.
Everyone who has watched the show appears to possess mixed feelings about the wicked boy-king. This also applies to Jack Gleeson, who portrayed Joffrey in the fourth season of Game of Thrones. The Irish star’s role lasted just a handful of episodes that season, until he was poisoned at his own wedding.
Joffrey Baratheon is one of the most intriguing characters to have appeared on the Game of Thrones stage. Maybe he was the worst character Game of Thrones had to offer, but Gleeson didn’t let that spoil his fun.
Was he bummed about what happened to his character? Not really….
Everyone almost cheered when he accidentally ate a huge bite of poisoned pie, and died in front of the entire court.
