James Gunn's Superman Prequel Story Synopsis Revealed Along With New Look at the Dcu's Man of Steel
A synopsis for the Superman prequel novel, Superman: Welcome to Metropolis, referred to Superman as "a powerful metahuman." This comes after the Man of Steel's newest cinematic outing got a sneak peek that put Lex Luthor and Superman face to face.
The synopsis (via Penguin Random House) avows that Clark Kent is a "fresh face to Metropolis," trying to balance his new job at the Daily Planet and his secret identity as Superman, "a powerful metahuman." The synopsis goes on to further note that Superman also uncovers a "dangerous mystery" that seems to tie back to Lex Luthor. Tying into this, the prequel novel's author James Prescott avouched on X, "Meta human is a term used for anyone with superhuman abilities, human or not. Calma."
