‘Hacks’ Breakout Robby Hoffman To Co-Write & Star In ‘Unentitled’ Comedy Series In Works At HBO
Exclusive: As Jimmy and Kayla’s new assistant Randi, Robby Hoffman has been a scene-stealer on the current fourth season of Max. The HBO-Max comedy executive team has taken notice, giving the writer-comedian a chance to headline her own series.
HBO has put in development Unentitled, a comedy starring Hoffman. It will be co-written by her and Karey Dornetto (Fallout). The duo will executive produce alongside veteran HBO-based producer Carolyn Strauss who is better known for her work on sweeping drama series like Game of Thrones and The Last of Us but also recently executive produced another comedian-led HBO comedy series, Somebody Somewhere starring Bridget Everett.
In Unentitled, Hoffman plays a version of herself. It follows contrarian Robby Hoffman as she pursues her dream of making a living as a comedian, trying to bend the world to her will.
