'It Was Hard Not to See Norman Osborn': How Spider-Man Role Impacted Working With Willem Dafoe for Co-Star of New Film
Finn Wolfhard is about to star inThe Legend of Ochi, a family-friendly A24 film about a young girl named Yuri (Helena Zengel) and her adventure with an Ochi, a creature she's been taught to fear. But also starring in the film is Willem Dafoe, and Wolfhard was totally awestruck by him.
"For the first few days, it was hard not to see Norman Osborn," Wolfhard told People of his co-star. Norman Osborn, aka the Green Goblin, is one of the most feared and famous villains of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Originally debuting in Spider-Man back in 2002, he proved to be everything audiences wanted in a supervillain, and he came close to killing Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker a couple of times.
Dafoe returned as Norman in the multiverse adventure Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, and quickly established himself as a terrible threat to Tom Holland's Peter Parker as well.
