The love for Firefly isn’t dying any time soon, and Nathan Fillion would like to keep it that way. While the series wasn’t allowed the luxury to run more than a single season at Fox, Fillion might be satisfied with his run as Captain Malcolm Reynolds in that one season. The Rookie star wasn’t so eager to jump on the ‘bring back Firefly’ wagon, because he believed it was enough.

Fillion’s take shouldn’t be overlooked, as Firefly probably dodged a bullet when it ended with a single season. It didn’t have to face the fan complaints of a boring or forced second or future seasons. The series probably avoided the fate of USA Network’s Mr. Robot, which had a great beginning that was ruined by a below-average second season.
