Horror fans have been missing a straight-up '80s slasher, and Netflix is here to deliver. When the hit Fear Street trilogy, based on R.L. Stine's young adult horror series of the same name, concluded in 2021, horror fans were left wondering if they'd ever see the whimsical yet terrifying work of Stine on screen again. The three films starring Kiana Madeira and Stranger Things' Sadie Sink were each massive hits, so, of course, Netflix couldn't leave Fear Street behind and began working on the upcoming film Prom Queen, which is releasing just in time for prom season on May 23. After a couple of tantalizing promo images and a promising R rating announcement, the first trailer for the return to Shadyside is here and, boy, does it deliver.
