Stephen King Shares Chilling Warning About Netflix’s Most Shocking Movie: “Beware the Last Act”
Image
Last week, I watched Messiah of Evil on Tubi (on my own recommendation). Midway through the film, Toni (Joy Bang) visits a movie theater because she’s bored in the zombie town. Sure, it spells her doom, but she does at least get to watch a pretty sick Western movie before her death. It got me thinking about how I kind of love Westerns. Yeah, they’re often problematic, but there’s a distinct thrill that few other genres of film can successfully capture. Even better than a Western? Horror westerns.

From Dusk Till Dawn, The Wind (a more recent example), and Ravenous are all classics. But when you think of horror Westerns, there aren’t many to choose from beyond nondescript zombie miners you might find in your local video store. One of the best comes with the added bonus of a Stephen King recommendation. Even better, it’s streaming now on Netflix.
