“Television Is About Relationships”: ’The Walking Dead’s Scott Gimple & Lauren Cohan Defend Longer Seasons of Your Favorite Shows

Scott Gimple wants to reignite the relationship between audiences and television. Known as one of the driving minds behind the hit AMC series, The Walking Dead, and several of its offshoots, the executive hasn’t been coy about how long he sees tales from the post-apocalyptic universe continuing to stumble across screens. But, it isn’t just the zombie-filled adventures of Lauren Cohan’s Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan or Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon that the creative hopes will carry audiences on a weekly adventure. Recently, Gimple and Cohan sat down with Collider’s Christina Radish to chat about the upcoming second season of The Walking Dead: Dead City.
