There are countless characters in the A Song of Ice and Fire lore that it is almost impossible to keep track of. It’s hard to imagine how George R.R. Martin manages to come up with so many storylines and figures, and the fact that many of them share the same name makes it extra difficult to follow through.

As a writer, Martin has his own set of favorite characters. In fact, there are some in his books that he likes so much he wishes he could have explored them, but there was no more time.
