After 6 Years With No Sequel, Alita: Battle Angel 2 Gets Promising Update From Director
Six years after Alita: Battle Angel hit theaters, a long-gestating sequel appears to still be in the works. Director Robert Rodriguez gave a hopeful update about the next installment in the franchise.
In an interview on the Joe Rogan Experience, Rodriguez opened up about wanting to make another Alita film. "Yeah, we want to do another one for sure," he said, going on to talk about how parts of the set are still at his studio. "That whole city is still in my parking lot. 20-foot ceilings, seven streets. It's like the largest standing set in the country, if not the world." Alita: Battle Angel was released back in 2019 with Rosa Salazar starring as Alita through performance-capture CGI animation.
