Golden Globes 2026 to Add New Category - Podcasting!
Podcasting has become a very lucrative business over the past several years and now will get higher, award recognition.
It was just announced that the upcoming 2026 Golden Globes will add a new category for Best Podcast at the January 2026 awards ceremony, The Wrap reports.

“As the world of entertainment continues to evolve, we are excited to recognize new forms of storytelling,” Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne shared in a statement. “Podcasts have emerged as a profound medium for sharing narratives and building communities across global borders and generations.”
“The Golden Globes have always celebrated the best in film and television,” she continued. “Now, we’re making room for new voices and formats to be heard.”
According to The Wrap‘s report, “six nominees will be named from eligible audio and video podcasts, made up of the Top 25 most popular offerings of the year.”
