Though Avengers: Doomsday promises many battles, especially against the villainous Doctor Doom, a star of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster spoils that one of those fights will be between heroes. X-Men franchise actor Alan Cumming reveals who Nightcrawler will face off with in the Avengers sequel, and it could be a fantastic duel, pun intended.

Speaking with Buzzfeed UK, Cumming shared that Nightcrawler will go head-to-head with Pedro Pascal's Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in Doomsday. When the British actor delved into his fight scenes as Nightcrawler throughout the X-Men franchise and addressed his role in the Avengers follow-up, he let slip that his character and The Fantastic Four's leader would come to blows. “I'm sort of learning these fights and I'm like, ‘What, who am I fighting with?’ [They’re like,] ‘You're hitting Pedro Pascal against the head,’” he said.
