Andor Creator Details Scrapped 'Horror Movie' Episode for K-2So

This article contains minor spoilers for Andor, Season 2, Episode 8, "Who Are You?"
The Star Wars: Andor television series recently saw the introduction of K-2So in Season 2, but the series creator recently revealed that the character was originally going to make his debut in a much darker way. The scrapped origin story was reportedly like a standalone 'horror movie'.
Andor creator Tony Gilroy spoke with Entertainment Weekly about how plans for K-2So's arrival in the series were originally much darker. The character made his Andor debut in Season 2, Episode 8, titled, "Who Are You?", where he was shown to be moments away from killing Cassian (Diego Luna). Gilroy's original idea for K-2So's arrival was described as "an entire episode with a tonally unique vibe from the rest of the series."
"Dan Gilroy wrote an amazing, entirely self-contained episode that was episode 209," Gilroy shared, referring to his brother and Andor series writer.
