Evil Dead Star's Retro Erotic M3GAN Spinoff Gets a New Release Date
The M3GAN franchise is set to expand beyond the titular robotic doll in 2026. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a little longer now before they can see SOULM8TE in theaters.
Per Bloody Disgusting, Universal Pictures has delayed SOULM8TE by exactly one week, moving the erotic thriller spinoff from Jan. 2, 2026, to Jan. 9, 2026. The move means that SOULM8TE no longer has zero competition during its opening weekend, as the Jason Statham action movie Mutiny will also be released that day. While January is typically seen as dumping ground for studios since it's in between the holiday and spring blockbuster seasons, 2026 is so far packed with several anticipated movies, such as Sony's 28 Years Later sequel The Bone Temple (Jan. 16), Chris Pratt's sci-fi thriller Mercy (Jan. 23), and Sam Raimi's return to horror Send Help (Jan. 30).
