Austin Butler and Jeremy Allen White to Star in A24 Crime Saga ‘Enemies’

Austin Butler and Jeremy Allen White will face off in A24 crime film “Enemies” from writer-director Henry Dunham.

The casting was confirmed on Wednesday after rumors had been swirling for a while. The film’s plotline reads: “A relentless detective and an infamous contract killer collide in a deadly game of cat and mouse.” Production is set to begin in Chicago this summer.

Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen of Square Peg will produce alongside A24 and Alejandro De Leon. Josh Bachove is on board as an executive producer.

Oscar nominee Butler recently collaborated with Aster on his latest directorial effort, “Eddington,” also for A24. Butler and Aster will be on hand at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday to premiere the movie, which has been described as a contemporary Western and co-stars Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal and Emma Stone.
