The Accidental Getaway Driver Ending Explained & Movie Recap: Did Tay Rescue Mr. Long?

Based on the real-life story of the abduction of Long Ma, Sing J. Lee’s directorial debut is a winner through and through. Making a movie about true events is always tricky business and requires the filmmakers to stay true to the source and make it entertaining as well. Lee knocks it out of the park with a story that, despite involving kidnapping and jailbreak, unfolds at a slow and gentle pace. Through The Accidental Getaway Driver, he allows us to truly feel the human experience and understand why people behave the way they do.
