In a newly released emotional excerpt from The Jamie Kern Lima Show, Grammer opened up about his longstanding love for Beast, the blue-furred philosopher mutant he portrayed in X-Men: The Last Stand, Days of Future Past, The Marvels, and now, Avengers: Doomsday. In the interview, Grammer becomes visibly emotional as he reflects on what Beast means to him and how he still connects to the character's moral code and quiet strength, adding: "I feel like it's who I am."

“I love the character. I love his… he is a stalwart, upright, serious-minded, decent man. And that’s what I love about him. I think of him as being the Martin Luther King of the Mutants,” Grammer says.
