The 2005 romantic comedy Just Friendsdoesn't seem like the kind of movie that would put Ryan Reynolds behind bars -- but it almost did exactly that. In the film, the Deadpool & Wolverineactor played a record producer who returned home after a 10-year absence, and Reynolds decided to return home himself with a prank that landed him in hot water.

Although set in New Jersey, the movie was actually filmed in Reynolds’ native Canada, specifically Regina, Saskatchewan. Reynolds, appearing on a new episode of the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friendpodcast, explained how he nearly went to jail because of a joke that grabbed the attention of local police.
