Krysten Ritter Officially Set to Return as Jessica Jones in the MCU
Some Defenders are reassembling when Daredevil: Born Again returns.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Disney confirmed that Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as Jessica Jones in Daredevil: Born Again season 2 during their upfront presentation in New York City. The duo first crossed paths in Netflix's 2017 crossover series The Defenders, when RItter's hard-drinking private investigator teamed up with Matt Murdock and fellow street-level heroes Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) to battle the ancient ninja society known as the Hand. On why Ritter was selected to return instead of the otherMarvel Netflix stars, Marvel's Brad Winderbaum explained that "It's about not rushing and telling the best story. Yes, it's exciting to think about characters interacting, but it's about the reasons why. At times we've done that very well, at times we've rushed. The story has to lead the path."
