Bleach’s Fullbring Arc Deserves More Credit for Giving Ichigo the Free Therapy He Needed

Bleach is legendary, right? Tite Kubo gave us those epic, amazing sword clashes and a wild, supernatural world of Shinigami and Hollows. But the Fullbring arc felt like a punch to the gut after we saw Ichigo being an absolute beast, taking down Aizen in the Arrancar arc.
The fans wanted the saving-the-world chaos that made Bleach so popular, and were instead given a phase that felt much slower. However, the Fullbring arc somehow ended up bringing something entirely new to the table.
The thing about the Fullbring arc is that it feels as if Kubo sat Ichigo down for a free therapy session. It allows him to be stripped bare, forced to look at the choices he has made, and finally take a moment to process the trauma he has tucked away. This arc was certainly a huge shift, as if Ichigo was finally given a moment to just be human.
