Scarlett Johansson Admits This 4-Second Moment From a 13-Year-Old Marvel Movie Terrified Her More Than Any of Her MCU Stunts

Scarlett Johansson made her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2009's Iron Man 2 as Natasha Romanoff. Her character got more screentime in her second appearance, 2012's The Avengers, which further highlighted her character, Black Widow.

Johansson's Black Widow was a major part of the franchise until her death in 2018's Avengers: Endgame, although she got her own standalone film, 2021's Black Widow, which took place before the events of Endgame. In a new interview with Vanity Fair ahead of the release of her directorial debut, Eleanor the Great, Johansson looked back at how impactful The Avengers was, and shared the group's thoughts on the film. The actress also revealed which scene terrified her the most: her four-second line in Russian.
