James Gunn Finally Addresses Dcu's Wonder Woman With 'Encouraging' Update
DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran have many plans for the rebooted DC Universe, which kicks off this summer with the highly anticipated Superman. The first phase, Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, has a series of films and television shows planned, but the two are working on building the world further.
Before Gunn and Safran took over, there were plans for a third Wonder Woman movie starring Gal Gadot. With the rebooted universe, plans for a Gal Gadot-Patty Jenkins reunion fell through. However, the character is a vital part of DC Comics, and Gunn acknowledged there are plans to bring her to the Dcu in a new reply post on Threads.
Among the comments about the recently released Superman official trailer, one fan asked, "Do you have any updates on Wonder Woman?" The filmmaker gave a positive response, teasing, "Not to be shared publicly yet but yes.
