Friday the 13th Unveils New Design for Jason Voorhees Ahead of Peacock Prequel Series
Jason Voorhees will soon be resurfacing from Crystal Lake. While legal issues had held up the movie and TV rights to the Friday the 13th franchise for several years, Jason will soon return with a new prequel series, dubbed Crystal Lake, currently in the works at Peacock.
While fans wait for the new prequel show to arrive, a new version of Jason Voorhees was officially unveiled by Horror Inc., the franchise's rights holders (via Adweek). The unveiling marks the introduction of a "new beginning" for the Friday the 13th franchise, which is being referred to as the Jason Universe. This new version of Jason will have his design carried over through different mediums, maintaining a level of consistency with the character moving forward.
