One Piece Episode 1129 Review: Kuma’s Past Made Me Cry Tears That I Didn’t Know Existed

I have been a fan of Eiichiro Oda’s storytelling for quite some time now, but Kuma’s flashback is something else entirely. Although One Piece episode 1129 offered just a part of Kuma’s backstory, it still managed to make me and millions of One Piece fans cry.

The first half of the episode opens up with a thrilling portrayal of Saturn’s demonic powers, but the second half took me on an emotional roller coaster ride for which I was not ready at all. The depth in Kuma’s tragedy that begins soon after he is born explains the complexity of the narrative within the One Piece episode.
