Kevin Bacon “Bummed Out” About ‘The Bondsman’ Cancellation: “I Wish I Had An Explanation”
The Bondsman star and executive producer Kevin Bacon has weighed in on Prime Video’s decision to cancel the supernatural action drama after one season.
“Really bummed out that The Bondsman is not coming back for a second season,” he said in a video to fans posted on Instagram. “I really loved walking in Hub Halloran’s shoes, making that show with so many great, talented people, making that music. And I wish I had an explanation for you, but i honestly don’t.”
As Deadline reported on Friday, The Bondsman, whose eight half-hour episodes dropped April 3, made the Nielsen Top 10 streaming rankings in its premiere week, coming in at #9 on the Originals chart with 563 million minutes of viewing.
By its second week, The Bondsman had dropped off the Nielsen ranks. But it has remained on Prime Video’s platform Top 10 list ever since, holding the #1 spot earlier in its run.
