
Carey Mulligan In Talks To Join Greta Gerwig’s ‘Narnia’

Carey Mulligan (Maestro) is is in negotiations to join Greta Gerwig’s Narnia movie for Netflix, based on the bestselling fantasy novels by C.S. Lewis, sources have confirmed to Deadline.
Netflix declined to comment.
Mulligan will play the mother of Digory, one of the film’s young protagonists. As previously announced, others in the cast will include Daniel Craig as Digory’s uncle, Meryl Streep as lion Aslan the Great, and Emma Mackey as the White Witch.
The new Narnia is reportedly an adaptation of The Magician’s Nephew, the sixth novel in the series, which examines the origins of Narnia. The story watches as Digory Kirke and Polly Plummer discover this magical world by way of Digory’s uncle’s magic. Production is expected to begin next year.
