"There's No Real, Formal Exit": Original ‘The Brady Bunch’ Cast Members Share Their Thoughts on the Sitcoms Cancellation After Five Seasons
After years of re-runs and all new generations finding the show, it might seem as if The Brady Bunchhas thousands of episodes to watch. The reality is that the show only ran for five seasons and had 117 episodes in total, but the cast themselves all thought the show would keep on running when it was originally airing on ABC. Now, Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, and Susan Olsen spoke with People at The Chocolate Expo at Hofstra University about saying goodbye to the Brady family.
A fairly harmless question had the former Brady kids talking about how they learned of The Brady Bunch's fate. When People asked about keeping props and things from the set, Knight shared that no one took anything because they thought the show was coming back. "We didn't know whether we were picked up." Williams went on to explain what happened after Season 5 of the show.
