Sirens Unmasks the Hidden Puppet Master Pulling All the Strings
Image
Netflix’s brand-new limited dark psychological comedy series Sirens is not merely a coastal mystery covered in couture- it’s a lesson in layered storytelling, subversion, and the craft of manipulation. The 5-part limited series was released on May 22, 2025, and has absolutely captivated audiences in just a few hours.

The story begins with Devon DeWitt reaching out to her sister Simone, who has taken an assistant job with billionaire Michaela Kell. Played by Julianne Moore, Michaela’s character exercises a type of control over young women that might appear philanthropic from afar, but harbors an ulterior agenda. Moore notes the series witnesses a push and pull of power dynamics between the men and the women; while it may seem like Michaela has all the control, Moore thinks it’s really Peter Kell.
