Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025 Reveals First Winner (& It's Not Solo Leveling)
The ninth annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards are rapidly approaching, with 2025's list of winners scheduled to be announced live this coming weekend. However, ahead of the festivities, Crunchyroll has already awarded its first surprise winner.
While the cards appear heavily stacked in favor of titles such as Solo Leveling, Dandadan and Frieren: Beyond Journey's End -- all of which secured numerous nominations for this year's event -- Crunchyroll has honored one special anime series with its first-ever Global Impact Award. Via Variety, this celebrates "visionary creators and groundbreaking works that have left an indelible mark on culture, history, and the hearts of audiences around the world," with the award going to the massive hit shonen series Attack on Titan.
