James Gunn Should Cast This ‘It’s Always Sunny’ Actor Who Wanted Chris Pratt’s Star Lord in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’
Glenn Howerton is popular among fans as the sociopathic twin Dennis Reynolds in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Howerton’s popularity outside of the sitcom could have been bigger had he been cast in several high-profile projects. The most famous among his missed opportunities is the role of Star Lord in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
Howerton would probably be bummed out by the fact that he was the second choice for the role after Chris Pratt. Interestingly, it wasn’t the first superhero role he had lost out on. Before his fame from It’s Always Sunny, he auditioned for the role of Clark Kent in Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns.
