After years of struggles with infertility that included multiple painful miscarriages, the 41-year-old Olympic gold medal figure skater announced that she and husband Todd Kapostasy had recently welcomed their first child together via surrogate.

Tara and Todd – who have been married since 2017 – welcomed a baby girl named Georgie.
“I dreamt about this for so long,” Tara told People, before sharing that she’s excited about everything mothering a newborn has to offer.
“A crying baby, sleepless nights,” Tara shared. “Even when I’m like, ‘Okay, take an hour nap,’ I’m almost too excited. I’m like, ‘She’s there. Just watch her a little longer.”
Tara announced earlier this month that she and Todd were expecting and in an episode of her podcast, she opened meeting their surrogate Mikayla.
