Jerry Trainor went all out in the audition for his breakout role of Crazy Steve on the Nickelodeon classic “Drake and Josh.”

During a discussion at GalaxyCon, Trainor explained how he landed the role of Crazy Steve, an aggressively temperamental movie theater employee who would explode on fellow cast members Drake Bell and Josh Peck at the slightest inconvenience.

“When I auditioned for Crazy Steve, it had already been cast. Somebody else was already cast as Crazy Steve,” Trainor explained. “But I guess when he got to the set, he was not crazy enough for them, and so they fired him.”

Trainor was brought in for a “rush audition,” which meant the “Drake and Josh” casting directors needed to fill the role Asap.

iCarly fans couldn’t be happier that the Paramount+ revival is finally giving Carly and Freddie their day in the sun. But you know who’s not thrilled? That would be Freddie’s current girlfriend Pearl. Remember her?

Honestly, we wouldn’t blame you if you don’t. Heck, even Harper regularly forgets her name. (“I want to say… Squirrel?”) But Pearl is very much present in the first two episodes of Season 3, now available to stream, and she’s in for a world of hurt.

“iCarly” stars Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress, who portray Spencer and Freddie respectively, are looking back on Emily Ratajkowski’s cameo in the original show over a decade ago.

The actors, who’ve reprised their roles for the Paramount+ reboot series alongside Miranda Gosgrove, Laci Mosley and Jaiyden Triplett, recently told E! News that they thought Ratajkowski’s two-episode, season 3 feature as Gibby’s (Noah Munck) girlfriend, Tasha, was “hilarious.”

“Her and Gibby, we would all just be like, ‘Wait you two…together…what? How is this even working?'” Trainor, 46, told the outlet.

“But it worked!” Kress, 30, added. “I’ll be darned, it worked.”

For the past few months, Paramount+ has been relatively consistent in releasing various TV series, with a huge repertoire of docuseries and episodes ranging from comedy to horror. Although the streaming service is not available in every region, those who have access to it can catch up on not just newly produced programs but also old gems we used to watch on television.

Like the previous month of May, which saw the debut of The Family Stallone, Paramount+ has announced its June TV schedule. There are lots of new shows to look forward to in the next month, ranging from a revived Nickelodeon sitcom to one of the most successful Star Trek series. So, without further ado, here are the best TV series coming to Paramount+ in June 2023.

iCarly Season 3 (June 1)

iCarly was one of the best-written sitcoms of all time, created by Dan Schneider, who also served as showrunner and executive producer.

Fans have been waiting for iCarly season 3 to pick up after that massive cliffhanger at the end of season 2. Since the original series, Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) and Freddie (Nathan Kress) have been the most popular coupling, and things and heating up between the two of them in the revival series. Whether or not the pairing will be everything the viewers dreamed of, however, remains up for debate.

Season 3 sees Carly and Freddie struggling to figure out their relationship. At the same time, Spencer (Jerry Trainor) returns to his roots and Harper (Laci Mosley) has a reunion with an old rival. iCarly season 3 premieres exclusively on Paramount+ on June 1st with the first 2 episodes. New episodes will release weekly on Thursdays after that.

In 5...4...3...2... a new season of iCarly is on the way. The third season of Paramount+'s revival of the Nickelodeon hit is set to be released on June 1.

iCarly was a massive hit during its original run on Nickelodeon, receiving millions of viewers every week and a slew of award nominations and acclaim. So it's no surprise that the revival - geared at the now adult fanbase who grew up with the original - has earned similar rave reviews. However, despite receiving a third-season renewal in July 2022, buzz around the upcoming batch of episodes remained relatively quiet until this week. Finally, on Thursday, Paramount+ released a new official trailer telling fans exactly what to expect from the new outing.

Those fans who loved Freddie and Carly's will-they or won't-they in the original will likely be very excited, as the "Creddie" relationship is teased as the focal point of the new season.

The official trailer for the upcoming third season of Paramount+'s iCarly revival strongly hints that Carly x Freddie is finally happening, nearly 16 years after the original series first premiered on Nickelodeon.

iCarly Season 3 is slated to premiere on Paramount+ on Thursday, June 1. The new season's trailer focuses heavily on Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) and Freddie Benson's (Nathan Kress) long-teased romance, setting up a love triangle that also involves Freddie's current girlfriend, Pearl (Mia Serafino). The trailer goes as far as to show the prelude to a big kiss between Carly and Freddie, with the two sharing an intimate moment. iCarly season 3 now has an official trailer, and things are heating up between Carly and Freddie. The series, which is a Paramount+ exclusive, is a sequel to the Nickelodeon sitcom of the same name, which ran for 6 seasons between 2007 and 2012. Except for Jennette McCurdy as the feisty Sam Puckett, the series reunites the original cast members, including Miranda Cosgrove as web series star Carly Shay, Jerry Trainor as her older brother and former guardian Spencer, and Nathan Kress as her neighbor and tech whiz Freddie Benson.

Entertainment Tonight debuted the first official trailer for iCarly season 3, which premieres on June 1.

The trailer follows Carly finally realizing how deep her feelings for Freddie go after a misunderstanding where it seems like he proposed to her. This causes a fissure in his relationship with his girlfriend Pearl (Mia Serafino), who begins to see Carly as a threat and nearly beheads her during an axe-throwing hangout.

The 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards are back and better than ever. Hosted by Nate Burleson, co-host of “CBS Mornings” and CBS Sports analyst, and digital superstar Charli D’Amelio, the wackiest awards show of them packed on the star power, and of course, the slime.

Wednesday and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 were among the winners at the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, which were handed out Saturday night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Wednesday was named favorite family TV show, with star Jenna Ortega taking the “orange blimp” trophy for favorite female TV star in a family show. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 won the award for favorite movie.

Taylor Swift was named favorite female artist and also won favorite album for Midnights (3am Edition). Her cat, Olivia Benson Swift, was named favorite celebrity pet. Harry Styles won favorite male artist, favorite global music star and favorite song for “As It Was.” BTS was named favorite music group. Winners are voted on by fans.

Also during the show, Adam Sandler was honored with the King of Comedy Silver Blimp, while Optimus Prime of the Transformers franchise was given a Lifetime Achievement Award.

It’s that Slime Time of the year again. Nickelodeon is turning to CBS Sports analyst “CBS Mornings” co-host Nate Burleson and social media influencer Charli D’ Amelio to host this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards.

As it does every year, the KCAs are set to wow viewers with mind-blowing and gravity-defying stunts, celeb speeches, artist performances, games, magical illusions and tricks, plus a whole lotta slime. Kicking off the awards will be co-hosts Burleson and D’Amelio, who both shared their excitement for event.

“Hosting NFL Slimetime is always a blast, and I can’t wait to bring that same energy and slime as co-host of the iconic Kids’ Choice Awards!
