• Horror films are not a genre I would choose to watch but as an artist, I'm always curious. As a generation or so removed from them I'm especially interested in the work of young artists. My viewing experience of The Bayou was surprising, fun, scary and definitely out of my comfort zone (which is a good thing). The performances at times had a cinema vérité feel, maybe a reality show feel, which was interesting and anomalous. I stayed put for all the credits which educated me on what it takes to make a film of any length-huge commitment of time, money and more. Kudos to the entire production team for a novel movie viewing experience.
