Let me preface my comments by saying I'm not an America first type person at all. I've traveled all over the world and truly appreciate the differing cultures of countries. The problem I do have, however, is that so many foreign productions overact each scene so that no matter how good the story is, it becomes incredibly irritating. I believe that The Eternaut is such a good story that it didn't need this overacting. Just as many American movies rely too much on explosions and special effects, many foreign shows rely too much on hysterical characters to create drama. If you've seen a movie like The Road with Viggo Mortensen, you can see that a great story does not have to have a cast of people that look like they're constantly struggling with anxiety to create a good plot.
