Famke Janssen was born November 5, 1964, in Amstelveen, the Netherlands, and has two other siblings. Moving to America in the 1980s, she modeled for Chanel in New York. Later, taking a break from modeling, she attended Columbia University, majoring in literature.

This model-turned-actress broke into Hollywood in the early 1990s. Her first film was Fathers & Sons (1992). Later she became James Bond's enemy in GoldenEye (1995). A leading lady of the 1940s, the tall and blonde Foch usually played cool, aloof and often foreign, women of sophistication. On television Michiel is best known as series regular Daario Naharis on HBO's Game of Thrones. He starred in season one of HBO Max's, The Flight Attendant opposite Kaley Cuoco, and in Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House. Further television credits include recurring roles in Orphan Black, Nashville, as a series regular in HBO's Treme, Discovery Channel's miniseries Harley and the Davidsons, and the BBC television movie Margot.

Paul Verhoeven graduated from the University of Leiden, with a degree in math and physics. He entered the Royal Netherlands Navy, where he began his film career by making documentaries for the Navy and later for TV. In 1969, he directed the popular Dutch TV series, Floris (1969), about a medieval knight. This featured actor Rutger Hauer, who has appeared in many of Verhoeven's later films. Verhoeven's first feature, Wat zien ik (1971) (trans. "What do I See?"), was released in 1971. However, it was his second, Turkish Delight (1973), with its combination of raw sexuality and a poignant story-line, that gained him great popularity in the Netherlands, especially with male audiences. When his films, especially Soldier of Orange (1977) and The 4th Man (1983), received international recognition, Verhoeven moved to the US. His first US film was Flesh+Blood (1985) in 1985, but it was RoboCop (1987) and, especially, Total Recall (1990) that made him a big box office success. Sometimes accused of portraying excessive violence in his films, Verhoeven replies that he is only recording the violence of society. Verhoeven has co-scripted two of his films: Soldier of Orange (1977) and Flesh+Blood (1985). He also directed an episode of the HBO The Hitchhiker (1983) TV series. Katja Herbers is the daughter of violinist Vera Beths and oboist Werner Herbers. Growing up she spent time in America, accompanying her mother on tour with the chamber music group L'Archibudelli. Her mother remarried cellist Anner Bylsma and her father remarried costume designer Leonie Polak, who introduced her to the theater. She had a Canadian au pair and learned to speak Dutch, German, and English growing up.

Herbers went to the Ignatius Gymnasium in Amsterdam. She studied psychology at the University of Amsterdam. During her psychology studies she attended the local theatre school De Trap. She moved to New York and went to the HB Studio. She then got accepted to the Theaterschool in Amsterdam.

During her studies, she starred in the films Peter Ball (2002) and Brush with Fate (2003). After graduation, Herbers became a member of Johan Simons' Theater Company NTGent in Ghent. She then joined the renowned Munich Kammerspiele in Germany. She worked with directors such as Alex van Warmerdam, Ivo van Hove and Theu Boermans under whose direction she performed many Schnitzler plays, including his monologue Fräulein Else, for which she received rave reviews. In 2013, she won the Guido de Moor Award for young talent, for her portrayal of Irina in Chekhov's Three Sisters. She played a lead role in Theu Boermans' The Chosen, which won an International Emmy and the prestigious Prix D'Europe.

Katja is also a gifted singer and has performed Im Wunderschönen Monat Mai - a composition inspired by the great Schubert and Schumann songs by Reinbert de Leeuw especially written for an actress.

While achieving many successes on stage, Katja continued filming as well. She worked with the Oscar Nominated and International Emmy Awarded Director Ben Sombogaart on the Dutch blockbuster feature De storm (2009). Critics raved about her portrayal of the Dutch Queen (then Princess) Maxima in the mini-series Beatrix, Oranje onder Vuur (2012). Rudolf van den Berg directed her in the feature film Süskind (2012), in which she played the right hand of Dutch war hero Walter Süskind, who helped escape over a thousand children during World War II. Jelle de Jonge directed her in the romantic comedy Love Over Distance (2017), which she co-wrote.

Really all of Holland knows her for her portrayal of the emotionally unstable but lovable Joyce in the TV hit series Divorce (2012), which glues a record breaking 25% of all Dutch television viewers to the screen every Sunday evening.

Internationally, Katja is known for playing physicist Helen Prins on Sam Shaw's Manhattan (2014). She had a recurring role on season three of FX's The Americans (2013). She played Dr. Eden on the final season of HBO's The Leftovers (2014), and starred opposite Mark Duplass in Manhunt (2017).

In 2018 she joined HBO's Westworld (2016) as Grace/Emily.

Katja divides her time between Los Angeles, New York and Amsterdam.

Halina Reijn is a renowned director, actress, author and producer. She is the winner of multiple awards, including the Dutch film Award, the Golden Calf for Best Actress , the Dutch theater awards Theo D'Or and Colombina, as well as the Courbois pearl, an oeuvre award which honours an actress who has made an indelible impression, both on stage as in film and television. Since 2017 she is also the proud owner of the Theo Mann-Bouwmeester Ring, an award to honour an actress who has contributed greatly to the Dutch theatre.

Her critically acclaimed directorial feature film debut INSTINCT (2019), starring Carice van Houten (GAME OF THRONES) and Marwan Kenzari (ALADDIN) has been selected for film festivals in Locarno (winner Variety Piazza Grande Award and special mention First Feature Competition), Toronto (world cinema competition), BFI Londen (Sutherland competition), Gent and Chicago, and is the foreign language Oscar submission of The Netherlands. INSTINCT is the first outing for Man Up, the production banner of Halina and Carice. MAN UP's goal is to create films and television drama with high current value and relevance, told from a female perspective. Halina was professionally trained at the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts and in 1997 debuted on stage as Ophelia in Hamlet, directed by Theu Boermans. She continued to act on stage in such productions as Shopping & Fucking, Three Sisters, Mourning Becomes Electra, Hedda Gabler, La Voix Humaine, The Fountainhead and recently Obsession, opposite Jude Law. Halina works with internationally acclaimed director Ivo van Hove at the International Theatre Amsterdam, performing their plays all over the world. She starred in the Oscar nominated film ZUS & ZO, in Paul Verhoeven's critically acclaimed BLACK BOOK and in Bryan Singer's VALKYRIE, opposite Tom Cruise. She can also be seen in the Swedish series CONSPIRACY OF SILENCE, directed by Charlotte Brändström.

In 2005, her first novel Prinsesje Nooitgenoeg (Prometheus) debuted, followed by Halina: doen alsof ik iemand anders ben (Prometheus, 2009), Antiglamour (co-written with Carice van Houten, Nijgh & Van Ditmar, 2013), and Loos (Nijgh & Van Ditmar, 2016). She is working on film scripts and television series based on original ideas. In 2019, Halina was named one of 20 most influential people in the Dutch media by a leading Dutch newspaper. She writes columns for Dutch and Belgian magazines and newspapers and is regularly a co-host on one of the best watched daily news shows on Dutch TV.

Carel Struycken was born in the Hague, The Netherlands. When he was four years old his family moved to Curacao, an island in the Caribbean. At age sixteen, he returned to his home country, where he finished high school. He graduated from the directing program at the film school in Amsterdam, following which he did a year at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles.

After school, he collaborated on a number of projects of writer/director Rene Daalder. He was "discovered" as an actor at the corner of Hollywood and Vine in Los Angeles by a lady who had abandoned her car in the middle of the street, calling after him, "We need you for a movie!". The movie was Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978). The turning point in his acting career however was Ewoks: The Battle for Endor (1985), a George Lucas film. In addition to cinema, he has also appeared on television, notably as the recurring character, valet Mr. Homn, on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987).

Carel has also helped in hardware and software development of virtual reality systems.

Gaite Jansen is considered one of the most promising Dutch young acting talents of her generation. She can be seen on the HBO/ Cinemax show Jett (2019), opposite Carla Gugino, directed by Sebastian Gutierrez. Prior to this, she played recurring roles on BBC's Peaky Blinders (2013) Season 3 and Line of Duty (2012) Season 4.

Her performance as a deaf teenager in the groundbreaking 2011 drama 170 Hz (2011) earned her nominations for Best Actress at the Seattle Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Festival. Supernova (2014), in which she plays the lead role, screened in the Generations competition at Berlinale film festival 2014. She also played the lead role in The Price of Sugar (2013), the opening film of the Netherlands Film Festival in 2013.

Apart from her TV and film work, Gaite worked on stage with internationally renowned theatre directors such as Tony-winner Ivo van Hove and Simon Stone.

Jeroen Krabbe was born in Amsterdam to a family of painters. His grandfather was a famous impressionist, his father a talented artist and his mother a qualified interpreter responsible for translating Dutch films into English. He was destined to be a painter but after high school and a year of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts decided at 17 to change to acting and became the youngest pupil to be accepted at Toneel School - the Academy of Performing Arts'. He graduated in 1965 and spent 6 years in repertory theatre distinguishing himself in classical and contemporary roles such as Bierowne in 'Loves Labours Lost', Cassio in 'Othello' and Chance Wayne in 'Sweet Bird of Youth'. In the early 7-'s he formed his own theatre group and toured in such as 'Relatively Speaking'and 'How the Other Half Loves'. He established himself at the top of the tree when he directed'The Diary of Anne Frank'in which he starred as Otto Frank which became one of the biggest successes of the Dutch stage.He also had his own chat show on Dutch television and a music programme on radio. After playing a leading role in Paul Verhoeven's 'Soldier of Orange' on radio he left for America to play opposite Rock Hudson in the television series 'World War Three' then two films with Paul Verhoeven 'spotters' and Fourth Man' His performance in the latter won him the 'Vittorio de Sica prize in Italy and a special award at the film festival at Avoriazi in Spain. He decided to return to the academy of Fine Arts to see how good a painter he was . After 3 years of painting, filming and stage acting he graduated from the academy and decided to quit the theatre in favour of painting and film making. He was given an exhibition together with his father and grandfather at the Singler Museum in Laren which was a huge success and established him as a true painter.

Martijn Lakemeier (1993) first came to the scene at age of 14, when he made his acting debut in WINTER IN WARTIME, the Dutch Oscar submission in 2010. For his magnificent portrayal of a young boy coming of age during World War II, he won the prestigious Dutch film award the Golden Calf for Best Actor. He is the youngest winner to date. Besides the Golden Calf, Martijn was also awarded the Rembrandt Award for Best Actor, an important Dutch audience award. Nearly one million people went to see WINTER IN WARTIME in Dutch cinemas, which is a huge box office hit for Dutch standards. The film crossed the Dutch borders and was awarded Best Film at the annual European Youth Film Festival of Rome and was selected as the Dutch entry for the Academy Awards. WINTER IN WARTIME had theatrical releases in the US, Germany, Great Britain and Canada. In 2009 Martijn played his second leading role in the teenage movie LOVER OR LOSER directed by Dave Schram, after the book by immensely popular Dutch children's writer Carry Slee. In 2011, Martijn plays another lead in the well-received Dutch short film DAYS OF GRASS. After graduating high school, Martijn is added to the cast of the popular Dutch TV series FEUTEN, in which he plays the Dutch heir to the throne in his freshman years. Later that year Martijn can be seen in the critically acclaimed Dutch drama series THE SECRETS OF BARSLET. The same year Martijn stars in three Dutch movies: the award-winning film THE MARATHON, the art house film IT IS ALL SO QUIET, by Golden Calf winning director Nanouk Leopold and YOUNG by Colette Bothof. In 2014 DUTCH HOPE, in which Martijn plays one of the lead roles, wins a Golden Calf (Dutch equivalent of the Emmy Awards) for best TV drama series. Furthermore he plays roles in the films SUMMER and ZURICH. In 2015 Martijn played in the film VENTOUX, after the Dutch best selling novel by Bert Wagendorp. And in the romantic comedy YES, I DO! in which he plays one of the lead roles. In 2016 he played on of the leads in the film VENTOUX directed by Nicole van Kilsdonk. In that same year he finished shooting a French film TOUT LÁ-HAUT. He is playing the lead next to Marwan Kenzari in the feature THE EAST directed by Jim Taihuttu. Currently he is on set of the third season of successful TV series DUTCH HOPE.

Thekla Reuten is an undeniable front-runner in the new century's wave of European actresses lauded on the international stage and screen. In the space of just three years, the Dutch actress was a prominent member of two Best Picture Oscar nominees in the Foreign Language Feature category. In the Belgian comedy-drama "Everybody's Famous!" and the 2002 Dutch offering "Twin Sisters," she presented herself to international audiences as a force to be reckoned with. Reuten was then able to land a few notable English-language credits. On stage she starred opposite Gael Garcia Bernal in "Bloodwedding" directed by Rufus Norris at the Almeida Theatre. But arguably Reuten's best work in the United States was for the 2006-2007 Showtime series "Sleeper Cell" - in the second season, she portrayed a Muslim fundamentalist posing as a nanny. She had a small part in the quirky 2008 hitman drama "In Bruges," starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, and guested on an episode of the ABC fantasy series "Lost." In 2010 she played opposite George Clooney in his thriller "The American," which was shot in Europe, and in 2018 she also appeared in the 2018 Francis Lawrence spy-thriller "Red Sparrow". Last year she was awarded Best Actress twice for her lead role in critically acclaimed intimate drama "Narcosis". Most recently Reuten played Jillian Salvius in the Netflix action-fantasy series "Warrior Nun" and will be starring in Prime Video's Citadel: Diana, the next chapter in the Citadel Spyverse by the Russo Brothers' AGBO.

Speaking five European languages (Dutch, English, Italian, German and French) and with an Italian mother Reuten graduated from Amsterdam's Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1997 and quickly came to the recognition of stage and screen directors to garner roles in significant productions, debuting with leading Dutch TV series Wij Alexander (1998).

Born in the Netherlands, he came to the United States as a child in the late 1950s. Erland grew up in Orange, New Jersey; Ridgefield, Connecticut; and Mont Vernon, New Hampshire. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he distinguished himself as a member of the wrestling team and in student theatre productions while also becoming a teaching assistant while still an undergraduate. After graduation he moved to New York City, working in the field of computers, and pursued amateur wrestling, going to the 1976 Montreal Olympics as the heavyweight alternate and being the hopeful for the 1980 Moscow Olympics (which the US did not ultimately attend). However, when a casting director for The Wanderers (1979) showed up at the New York Athletic Club, Erland was discovered and cast as "Terror."

Erland continued to work in computers (ultimately starting his own company), fitting in his movie shoots as well as his studies toward an operatic career. Originally a bass-baritone, he appeared many times at the well-known Amato Opera in New York and eventually worked his way into the Heldenbaritone repertoire. He was survived by his son, his wife, his mother (since deceased), his brother Philip van Lidth de Jeude (also an opera singer and film actor), and his sister Philine (also an opera singer [ret], photographer & artist.

Gijs Blom is one of the most promising young actors in The Netherlands. At the age of 17, he played the lead role in the critically acclaimed film Boys, directed by Mischa Kamp. The film was shown at multiple international film festivals and was eventually bought by Netflix. For his role in Boys, Gijs earned a nomination for a Gouden Kalf award for Best Actor at The Netherlands Film Festival. He also appeared in the feature film Nena directed by Saskia Diesing, and he played the lead role in Pijnstillers, based on the book by Carry Slee, for which he won the Sir-Peter Ustinov Newcomer Award at the Luca Film Festival.

Gijs also stands out across the European border. He featured in Netflix's The Letter for the King as the warmongering prince of the realm, Viridian. This year, he stars in Matthijs van Heijningen's The Forgotten Battle, a WWII saga written by Paula van der Oest which tells the story of a young Dutch man who goes off to fight for Hitler. He also leads an international cast in David Verbeek's 'Dead & Beautiful', which premiered in Februari 2021 at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.

Whoopie Van Raam was born in Amsterdam and grew up in The Netherlands, Spain and the UK. After graduating as a classical pianist from the Conservatoire in The Netherlands she went on to train as an actor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Interested in Martial Arts she frequently follows intense Muay Thai training programs in Thailand.

She most recently played opposite Jason Statham in Meg 2: The Trench directed by Ben Wheatley for Warner Bros, which came out during the 2023 SAG strike.

Kennedy McMann is an American actor and singer born in Holland, MI with training from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama (BFA Acting). With appearances in "Law & Order SVU" and "Gone," Kennedy is best known for her work on television as the titular character of the CW's "Nancy Drew" opposite Scott Wolf.

Tom Six was born on 29 August 1973 in Alkmaar, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. He is a director and writer, known for The Human Centipede (First Sequence) (2009), The Human Centipede III (Final Sequence) (2015) and The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence) (2011).

Fedja van Huêt is one of the most diverse and celebrated stage and screen actors of his generation in the Netherlands. Before graduating from the Maastricht Theatre Academy, Mike van Diem cast him to play the lead in his Oscar winning film 'Character' (Best Foreign Language Film, 1998). Fedja was an ensemble member of Johan Simon's legendary Hollandia theatre company from 1996-2005. Hollandia toured throughout Europe and, in 2000, won the coveted European Prize New Theatrical Realities. From 2005-2013 he joined renowned Belgian director Ivo van Hove's Toneelgroep Amsterdam and starred in plays including Angels in America, Opening Night, Coriolanus, Platonov and MacBeth (Best Actor nomination). In 2013 he received the Mary Dresselhuys prize for his oeuvre and extraordinary accomplishments as a theatre actor. During these years, Fedja continued to work in film. He starred in Erik de Bruyn's Wilde Mossels (Best Film Award 2000, Dutch film press) and won in 2001 his first Golden Calf for Best Actor for his leading double role in Amnesia from Martin Koolhoven which opened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. In 2002, Fedja was chosen as a Shooting Star (Europe's leading young talent) at the Berlin International Film Festival. He went on to act in Rosenstrasse from Margarethe von Trotta (Golden Beer nomination, Venice Film Festival 2003) and in Guernsey (Quinzaine des Realiteurs, Cannes 2005) and Wolfsbergen (Berlin International Film Festival 2007) both directed by Nanouk Leopold. In 2008 he performed in the German production Buddenbrooks (starring Armin Mueller-Stahl ) and in 2010 he played opposite Isabella Rossellini and Burghart Klaussner in Nono, Het Zigzagkind from Vincent Bal (selected for the Berlin Film Festival Generation K-plus and winner Young Audience Award Berlijn EFA) Television audiences know him from the popular Dutch series Penoza, Overspel and Divorce.

Melisa Asli Pamuk is a Dutch citizen. Her family is from antique multicultural city Iskenderun, Hatay, Turkey. She also won the title of "Best Promising" in Best Model of Turkey 2009 and stands 1.76 m. She is fluent in Turkish, English, Dutch and German and speaks a bit of French. She began modeling at the age of 14.
