Education: Batazore B.M high school (2015-2020) Ananda Mohan College,Mymensingh (2020-present) - Rozel Ahmed is a Bangladeshi cricket commentator and former 1st division cricketer of Mymensingh District. Throughout the span of his playing career, he used to play as an opening batsman and wicket-keeper. Most of the time in his school days cricket, he was skipping his side.
Rozel was a cricket addict from his childhood. After seeing his addiction to cricket, his mother Rozey Aktar first made a bat from wood in 2000. In that year he first played cricket with that wooden bat with his neighbor's older brother named Oli. Day by day he had been a good batter. His father was a government employee that's why he had the privilege to visit different places and meet new friends and seniors.
Rozel Ahmed first went to "Ammatul" school to study "play group" which was very close to his residence. But his elder sister studied in a different school named "Ananda Path School". Rozel's father decided to shift him to his sister's school. Then Rozel Ahmed studied at that school for kindergarten-level education. To get a better education his father decided to shift him to another renowned school of Mymensingh named "Holy Soul Kinder Garden". Rozel studied at that school in the last part of class 1 and class 2. He was a good student from childhood. That's why his father was trying to get him admitted to the best school in Mymensingh city named Mymensingh Zilla School. Rozel Ahmed took preparation from a popular school teacher Late Habibur Rahman Sir and finally got a chance at the school by competing in the admission test at Class 3 and 32nd at Day Shift. He started playing cricket in his school days. Rozel Ahmed played tireless cricket during his primary and higher secondary education like before starting school, in the mid-break sometimes after school. He was a fantastic captain in fact one of the most successful captains in his class. Rozel was the pioneer of different cricket tournaments in the school, some are named MZPL(Mymensingh Zilla School Premier League), and Bilateral Series Between two private institution named Protissruti and The Cadet. He got the talent pool scholarship in class 5 and stood 23rd in the Mymensingh district. Then Rozel Ahmed's father was trying to admit him to the Cadet colleges of the country. But he was unwilling to get admitted to cadet colleges and he didn't go to school regularly and couldn't play cricket regularly. Rozel Ahmed was losing his performance day by day. Couldn't make cadet colleges as well. In class 8 Rozel attended the JSC(Junior School Certificate) exam and got GPA-5 (A+ in all subjects). He achieved the talent pool scholarship in that exam. Surprisingly Rozel Ahmed stood 23rd in the district again. After 2 years there was a board exam ahead of him named SSC(Secondary School Certificate) equivalent to 'O' level. In that exam, Rozel got GPA-5 (A+ in all subjects). With that exam, he finished his school life and left Mymensingh Zilla School where many memories were created. Then Rozel was admitted to a renowned college Ananda Mohan College, Mymensingh. His college life wasn't that good. Because it was a government college and there was no pressure to attend every day. In 2016 Rozel Ahmed attended another board exam called HSC( Higher Secondary School Certificate) equivalent to an 'A' level. He got GPA-5(A+ in all subjects) and also a board scholarship in the general category in Dhaka Board. But the main failure of his life came after this exam. He failed to get a chance at a government university in the country. Rozel was unable to be admitted to a private university because of financial competencies. Then he got depressed but was confident and started a 2nd-time preparation to get a chance in a government university. In March 2017 Rozel Ahmed started his studies. The first time he wanted to be an engineer. There is no second-time admission in the government engineering universities of the country. Still, there was an opportunity to get admitted to the government Science and technology universities. He used to gossip with one of his friends named Shishir who was preparing for Arts units of the public universities. After that Rozel was interested in taking preparation for the Arts unit in July 2017. From March he was preparing for the science unit. Then he left science unit preparation and concentrated on the Arts unit preparation. Again he failed in the exams of Jahangir Nagar University. The nearest possibility to get a chance was B unit where Rozel was on the waiting list. Then again he got depressed and didn't want to attend Rajshahi University's exams. But surprisingly he got a chance in Law, Journalism, IER(Institute of Education and Research), IBA(Institute of Business Administration), and BBA departments. Then Rozel attended Bangladesh University of Professionals' exams and got selected for the Economics Department. He always wanted to be resided in Dhaka because his dream is to be an international cricket commentator and Dhaka is the biggest platform to get the opportunity. He was admitted to BUP and from there he completed his Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Economics in 2021. Rozel Ahmed completed his Master of Social Sciences degree in Economics in 2022 from the same university. He achieved first-class in both degrees.
Rozel Ahmed played his first professional cricket match in the "Inter-School T20 Cricket Tournament" back in December 2011 alongside the national cricket team player Munim Shahriar. He took a great catch of Munim in a practice match before the tournament and he was astonished by seeing that catch of Rozel. Later on, Munim praised him. The greatest impede of becoming a cricketer was his father. His father never wanted him to become a cricketer. His father always wanted him to become an engineer. In Class 6, Rozel's physical education teacher Shah Masum was in search of good cricketers from every class. Rozel wasn't wanting to raise his hand in the class. But some of his friends pushed him and chanted his name. Then Mr. Shah Masum took him with 5 more players to a cricket academy. After 3 days of practice, his father bade him to go to the practice. His dream was broken at that time. Because he was dreaming of becoming a cricket player while practicing in Mr. Alok Hasan's academy. Several times he attempted to go to practice without the concern of his family members. But it didn't work for him. After a long break in 2015, he again started to go to Lipon Da's academy where Rozel and his best friend Saad used to practice together. In 2016 both Saad and Rozel decided to change their academy and they joined the Cricket Academy of Mymensingh a newly formed academy by 3 Dhaka Premier Division level cricketers named Robin, Arman, and Nayeem. He played 1 match in the "1st Division Cricket League" of Mymensingh. He scored 30 runs from 48 balls in that match. After getting admitted to the university, Rozel played his first match in the "Inter Department Cricket Tournament 2019" against the International Relations department where his team Economics Department won by 1 run. He didn't bat in that match but he took the last wicket by a run out of the opposition team. In that year in Last Man Stands Cricket he got his debut cap for "Team 9th Men" and played two matches for the team scoring 18 and 22 runs respectively and took some great catches behind the stumps.
During his 1st year of university life, Rozel joined a call center company named Mitali International LLC as a customer relationship executive. After one month of work, he decided to leave the job because he couldn't balance both his studies and his job. Then in September Rozel worked in a TVC as a background artist. Then he got an offer to work in the "Bangabandhu Gold Cup Theme Song" as a background artist. Rozel started his commentary career on 18th November 2018 in Last Man Stands Bangladesh. In that year he was appointed as an official commentator of Last Man Stands Bangladesh. He commentated on different global tournaments like the Thailand Open, South Africa Championship, Cox's Bazar Open, etc. He got a chance to commentate on a renowned radio channel named ABC Radio 89.2 FM in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. That was his first Bangla commentary journey. Rozel has wanted to become an English commentator since his childhood inspired by the Australian Commentators since he is a big fan of Cricket Australia. He worked at ABC Radio as a sports host and commentator from May 2019 to February 2020. In March 2020 he was upgraded to official commentator at Last Man Stands. Rozel Joined Radio Bhumi FM 92.8 in September of that year. After that he got a chance to do commentary on the "J'adoube 100 balls Inter-University T20 Cricket Tournament" and he was the host of that tournament's trophy unveiling ceremony with country's one of the best anchors Mousumi Mou. He was the official commentator of "3rd Alumni MZS Ex-Students Sports Club" in February 2021. Rozel took a break till October because of a shutdown in the country considering the Covid-19 situation. In October he got a chance to do commentary in "T Sports 100 Balls Corporate Clash" and from that tournament, he got attention from the country's first Sports Channel "T Sports". Then Rozel got a call from "Walton Presents Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament powered by TK Sports".Successfully he commentated over there. During the Last Man Stands Commentary, Rozel Ahmed got an offer to do commentary in "Life Springs Dominators Cup 2021" which is an international cricket tournament.
