His real name was Theodor Friedrich Emil Janenz, and in the early 1900s, he was already working in the theater under Max Reinhardt's company. Important movies where he defined himself as a convincing actor were Passion (1919) and Quo Vadis? (1924), followed by The Last Laugh (1924) (aka The Last Laugh) in 1924 and Variety (1925) (aka Variety) in 1925. In 1928, he became the first male leading actor to receive the academy award for The Last Command (1928) directed by Josef von Sternberg. In 1929, Stenberg directed him in his world famous movie The Blue Angel (1930) (aka The Blue Angel) co-starring the young Marlene Dietrich (her first role). Later on, he concentrated on theater and dedicated his acting skills to the Nazi regime and also took part in the realization of Ohm Krüger (1941) in 1941, an expensive anti-British film production. When the Second World War ended, the US government cleaned his image, and he converted to Catholicism. Simon Otto is a Director, Animator and Story Artist. Most recently, Simon directed an episode for Volume Two of the Netflix series Love, Death & Robots called The Tall Grass while also developing several other Netflix related projects. Simon is known for his work as the Head of Character Animation of all three How to Train Your Dragon films for DreamWorks Animation. In addition to overseeing the animation of the films, Simon has been instrumental in developing the look of the characters, their personalities, and the overall style of the animation as well as working in the story department on the second and third film. Born and raised in Gommiswald, just outside of Zurich in Switzerland, Simon began his career carving commercial snow sculptures in nearby resort towns such as Arosa and St. Moritz and drawing news cartoons for his hometown newspaper, "Die Suedostschweiz". After completing a banking apprenticeship, he redirected his attention to the arts and attended the F&F Schule für Experimentelle Gestaltung in Zurich. Following that, he left Switzerland to study at the prestigious Les Gobelins Animation School in Paris, France. After graduating from Les Gobelins, he received additional animation training through an internship with Walt Disney Feature Animation in Paris. He has been an important part of DreamWorks' character animation team ever since he joined the studio in 1997 to work on their first animated film, The Prince of Egypt. He worked as a Supervising Animator on many of the studio's animated features both in 2D and in CG, including Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron and the Aardman co-production, Flushed Away. Composer, conductor, jazz musician (he played both piano and trombone), and arranger Walter Ernst Baumgartner was born on November 16, 1904 in Sevelen, Kanton St. Gallen, Switzerland. Walter founded the swing band the Magnolians in 1934. Baumgartner worked for a while as an arranger and was the conductor of an orchestra prior to composing the score for his first film in 1952. A furiously prolific composer in the late 1960's and throughout the 1970's, Walter frequently worked for producer/director Erwin C. Dietrich and provided some especially groovy scores for a handful of exploitation movies made by legendary Spanish maverick Jesús Franco. Baumgartner was married to actress and singer Helen Vita. Walter died at age 92 on October 3, 1997. He was survived by his wife and two sons.- Producer

Christian Iansante was born on 19 February 1965 in Thal, St. Gallen, Switzerland. He is an actor and producer, known for A Star Is Born (2018), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).- After his parents divorced, Felix lived with foster parents from the age of eleven. His interest in radio plays developed as a child. Early on he became the author of several articles, some of which were also broadcast. After finishing school with a high school diploma, he studied to become a teacher. From 1960 to 1965 he worked as a teacher at the primary and commercial school in Frauenfeld. Meanwhile, he worked part-time as a radio and television reporter. He also wrote plays and children's musicals. In 1965 he gave up his teaching profession. Felix became a program designer at Swiss television in the "Culture and Science" department. As an author and presenter, he also developed his own broadcast formats and trained as a television director.
In 1973 he moved to the "Entertainment" department. Here he created the series "Teleboy", an entertaining game show with a hidden camera, which was awarded the "Prix Walo" in 1977. This Saturday evening series achieved the highest ratings in the history of Swiss television. In 1978 he was awarded the "Chaplin Prize" and the "Rose of Montreux". In 1980, Kurt Felix invented the series "Do you understand fun?", which he also moderated himself. In the same year he married the singer Paola, with whom he released "Do you understand fun?" from 1983. became the Saturday evening entertainment program and one of ARD's most successful programs. In 1985 he was awarded the "Rose of Montreux" again.
For Swiss television he accompanied the major lottery show "Supertreffer" as a presenter and producer. Until 1990, Kurt Felix co-hosted the show "Do you understand fun?" with his wife, which became one of the most popular forerunners of the decade. In the same year, 1990, Felix received the German media award "Bambi". He ended his career as a presenter on his 50th birthday. From 1991 he worked as a consultant for various television companies. He has also had Italian citizenship since 1995. From 1995 to 2005 he was a weekly television columnist for "Schweizer Illustrierte". For his 60th birthday, SWR showed a 15-part television series called "Klassiker mit Kurt Felix", a look back at 20 years of "Do you understand fun?".
In 2002, Felix developed the "Quiz Today", which was broadcast on Swiss television in the main evening program from autumn onwards. In 2003 he co-authored the book "50 Years of Swiss Television". In the same year he was awarded the honorary Bambi for his life's work. In 2003 Felix fell ill with cancer. After his successful treatment and recovery, he was appointed ambassador for the "Swiss Cancer League" in 2004. In 2006 Kurt Felix largely withdrew into his private life. He lived alternately in Switzerland and Italy. In 2011 he received the Swiss Television Prize for his life's work.
Kurt Felix died on May 16, 2012 at the age of 71 from his long-term cancer in St. Gallen.
