- Gladys Ethel McClure was born on August 5, 1914, to Samuel Hugh McClure and Flora Parthenia McClure of Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Tenth Ward School in Ft. Worth and a finishing school in Chatham, Virginia. Gladys moved to Beverly Hills, California, to make her home with her sister, actress Adrienne Ames. Gladys appeared on stage and screen as Linda Marsh (sometimes Linda March). On November 26, 1933, Gladys was a passenger in a car returning from a Stanford University football victory celebration. Going toward San Francisco on Bayshore Highway, the car crashed into another, and Gladys was among four killed. Her sister Adrienne had just married actor Bruce Cabot and was notified of the accident on her honeymoon in Honolulu. After a service in California, the body was taken home to Fort Worth. Gladys was interred on December 7, 1933, in the family plot at Fort Worth's historic Oakwood Cemetery. In 1947, her sister Adrienne Ames was buried beside her.
