Introverted Bocchi takes up the guitar in hopes of meeting friends, but her social anxiety is not so easily conquered. One day, a chance encounter leads her to join an indie rock band.

Nijika proposes that the band save up money for their next gig by doing part-time work at Starry.

Bocchi decides to try to pursue a new vocalist for the band: a classmate named Kita. Little does she know that Kita already has ties to the band.

While Bocchi struggles to write the lyrics to the band's first song, Nijika arranges a special band outing.

Kessoku Band plays their first song, but the barrier to entry for the upcoming concert may prove to be overwhelming.

Bocchi has three tickets left to sell in order to meet her quota for the band. A drunk woman may be her only hope for salvation.

Summer passes in the blink of an eye, but the band never reunites. On the last day of summer, they decide to surprise Bocchi with a sightseeing trip.

On the day of the culture festival, Bocchi goes missing. After finding her, the band prepares for their upcoming concert.
