- Extremely rough weather is the order of the day, and the high seas are forcing the captains to make harsh decisions. The question is whether they should take risks to catch fish, or take the safe option and head back to port.
- Good luck charms are brought in to assist the catch. Tyler McLaughlin, Captain of the Pinwheel, gives out lucky pineapples to the Gloucester boats. The outsiders have their own superstitions. Everyone hopes for good luck and big catches.
- Time is running out and Hot Tunas lead position is in the newcomers cross hairs. Big catches by Wasabi and Fat Tuna keeps the pressure on the fleet. Pinwheel struggles to catch up to rival, Kraken, as the end of the season looms.
