Li Zan realizes that a terrorist wants to drive a car with a bomb and set it off in the crowded marketplace, but everyone had the day off, and nobody brought their weapons.

Sa Xin hurries to save his mom. Song Ran takes a memorable picture of the moment and goes viral. Li Zan decides to transfer to an area that has more fighting. Jiang Lin requests to go with him. Shen Bei requests to go to Eastern Country.

Li Zan passes the test to join the battle as the explosives instructor. Song Ran requests to report in the area of more fighting. On the way, Song Ran takes the wrong route, and Li Zan rescues her from a group of gunmen.

On their way to Happo, Song Ran and Li Zan encountered a mirage by the roadside, resembling a white olive tree. Taking it as a sign, they both wished for world peace. Later in the evening at the military base in Happo, Li Zan unexpectedly uncovered a secret about Song Ran.

Li Zan returns home and is welcomed warmly by his father. He doesn't stay long, fearing his perceptive father will discover the extent of his injuries. He flies to Liang City to follow up on a troubled Jiang Yu and to see Song Ran.

Song Ran is attacked by the public online after winning her photography award, so Li Zan asks for support from their colleagues who are still in the Eastern Country. Sa Xin introduces himself and defends her, which helps reduce Song Ran's anxiety. Li Zan requests for the best psychiatrist from Luo Zhan who had anticipated this and had already made appointments on his behalf. Jiang Yu is having a hard time and Li Zan meets with him for the first time.

Jiang Yu is having a difficult time adjusting to Jiang Lin's death, and Li Zan is trying to talk him through his grief. All the while, Li Zan feels guilt over his own role in Jiang Lin's death. Song Ran has been show a video of two students fighting and goes to Jiang Yu's school to investigate. She assumes it a case of bullying and makes a comment on the viral video before knowing all the facts. This creates a conflict between her and Li Zan.

Song Ran's father and stepmother invited her to dinner, and they ask her to delete her comment on the viral video because it will affect her sister's employment. She feels defeated and misunderstood. After trying to find Jiang Yu for days, Li Zan catches up to Song Ran who hasn't made headway in investigating the viral video. When Li Zan tries again to explain where Jiang Yu is coming from, Song Ran says something unforgivable. They part angry and miserable. Once Li Zan finds and resolves Jiang Yu's matters, he looks for Song Ran to reconcile with her.
