Gambling boss Moisés turns to Navarro to topple Evandro, and within the Commando, Chernobyl schemes to wrestle control of the trafficking operations away from Evandro. Evandro, for his part, cuts a weapons deal with the CCP, although the terms aren't exactly what he sought. Also, Flávio tracks down newlyweds Afonso and Inês and Geise pushes to increase cocaine shipments.

Evandro pretends to be dead after surviving Navarro's ambush; the attack, however, results in Maria being gravely injured. Morello, for his part, isn't convinced of Evandro's demise and begins following Dr. Felipe in search of the truth. Bagdá, meanwhile, sets his sights on recapturing Parque Royal. Inês manages to evade Flávio, but she's caught by Santana in a moment of desperation.

As Maria clings to life, Evandro travels to Paraguay with the aim of brokering peace with Navarro and reconnecting with his family. Helena has her camera stolen in Rio de Janeiro, no small matter as it directly threatens Evandro's ruse. Morello, meanwhile, sees Helena as the key to capturing Evandro. Also, Arlete goes to a dark place after Maria doesn't make it through emergency surgery.

Helena is kidnapped after images of Evandro are leaked, but Morello is more interested in prying information from the filmmaker than saving her. Navarro negotiates with Bagdá to make the IDI the sole distributor of White Gold. Arlete's downward spiral forces Evandro to take action. Also, Afonso and Inês gain a fanbase, Wilbert faces a choice and Aírton grows closer to his neighbor Jaime.
