Boeing's 777x program includes the two airliners the 777-8 and the larger 777-9. With a seating capacity of 426 the 777-9 extends well into to jumbo jet territory making it a suitable replacement for the 747. Deliveries are expect to begin in 2023 - 2025 with several airlines.

The Boeing 777 was revolutionary as a long haul, wide body, two aisle airliner operating with only two engines. As of 2021 Boeing has received 2,200 orders for the air frame including half a dozen passenger variants, a couple freighter versions and two new models slated for delivery in the next year or two.

Although Boeing's 787 program is considered to be in disarray it is planning two new models. Both will be designed for extended range to compete with both the Airbus A330 and A350 and replace low end 777s. Boeing hasn't explained their strategy but Coby has some ideas.
