"Ambush" will introduce you to a new ship and crew that exist in the Star Trek Universe, The USS Ambush. Set just after the events portrayed in "Balance of Terror", the original series episode. By focusing on a single away mission to rescue a captured Commander, "Ambush" will shed some light on how the Federation ultimately dealt with the Romulans, after the initial incident involving Kirk and The Enterprise. As you'll discover in the film, the crew of the "Ambush" are a very unique and specialized group of people, who would always be the first choice to deal with a delicate matter such as the Romulans. Although the crew's existence is well known to the Federation, they're not keen on their existence being bragged about.

Dr. Bashir's plans to attend a medical conference at a breezy resort are canceled when Starfleet Intelligence boards DS9, suspecting the doctor of treason.

While making plans to attend a medical conference on the Romulan home world, Dr. Bashir is contacted by Sloan of Section 31 and recruited to determine the health of a high-ranking Romulan official. Things turn more desperate, though, when the ranking Starfleet admiral traveling with him, who knows about Section 31's interest in the conference mysteriously suffers a brain aneurysm after Dr. Bashir finds out that Sloan is traveling with the group, as well.

Kira gets sent behind Cardassian lines in an effort to train them in resistance fighting. When Dr. Bashir learns of the deadly disease Odo is infected with, he meets with resistance whilst trying to obtain Odo's medical records from Starfleet. Martok gets blindsided by Gowron when he arrives on DS9, announcing he has assumed command of the Klingon fleet.

Spock, Peter Kirk & Alex Freeman are stuck aboard the U.S.S. Copernicus which is invested with Regulan Bloodworm and has to be destroyed. However, they meet two researchers aboard who claim to have a cure for the infestation.

It's easy to have lofty values when life is good and you're at the top of the heap. But desperate times call for desperate measures and nothing is quite as desperate as loosing a war to a tyrannical enemy. Star Fleet's solution is destroy the enemy first with whatever weapon of mass destruction is most convenient.

Now on the run, Picard and the skeleton crew of the USS Titan must break into Starfleet's most top secret facility to expose a plot that could destroy the Federation. Picard must turn to an old friend for help.

Eric Pierpoint is Bryan and Lili's guest this week. Eric discusses his multiple roles on Star Trek spin-off series, his start into acting, plus having heavy makeup in some roles including for the TV series Alien Nation. Pierpoint speaks fondly of his time on Alien Nation atop the cast with Gary Graham, subsequently both appearing on Star Trek in recurring roles on Enterprise. Pierpoint tells a humorous set of stories, regarding his role as Kortar, the afterlife Klingon from "Barge of the Dead" on Star Trek: Voyager. Eric Pierpoint is most notably known for his role as Harris, the section 31 operative where he speaks to his first time on set learning the background of section 31 and more.
