- George is the scapegoat of his classmates. One day he cracks and shoots them. His best and only friend Blaise is accused in his place and sentenced to 7 years in a psychiatric hospital. At the day of his release, Blaise realizes he only has one family: his best friend George. But he does not want to hear about his childhood friend, as he tries to integrate with the "Chivers" a gang whose members wear red jackets and boots, drink milk, drive sport trucks and play an incomprehensible and violent game that mixes cricket and mental arithmetic.
- An adult Martin Roy reminisces about his life in the 1966/67 school year. At fifteen years old and in his last year of junior high school, he breathed, ate and slept hockey. He collected hockey cards, played street hockey with his friends, tried skating and ice hockey for the first time in his life, but was most fascinated with his local national league team, the Montréal Canadiens, and its star player, Henri Richard. He dreamed of growing up and working for the Canadiens franchise. But a more immediate goal was to get tickets to one of their games, using M. Richard and his banker father, Hervé, as possible conduits to that goal. He also remembers his school life from that year, with the arrival of pot smoking free thinking hippie Ron Richardson as the new English teacher, and dreading home room with strict Mlle. Chouinard, who he eventually learned too had a human side. But he learned that there may be a couple of things more important than hockey: family, and the opposite sex.
- For years, the post office has delivered mail addressed to Santa Claus to the small isolated community of North Station, the closest thing they know name-wise to the North Pole. Sometime in the 1950's, teen-aged North Station residents Samuel and his girlfriend Evelyne continue a tradition started by Samuel's grandfather Edgar - who recently passed away - of personally answering those letters as Santa Claus. Because of a snowstorm, those letters written by Samuel and Evelyne can't be delivered before Christmas, so Samuel takes it upon himself to see those letters make it out of North Station on time. However, Samuel's ski-doo is found abandoned in the woods, and Samuel is thought to have perished in the storm. Fifty years later, there are fewer letters written every year because fewer children believe in the magic of Santa Claus. One of the letters that is written is from a young girl named Satia - Evelyne's granddaughter - who has a special Christmas wish for her ailing grandmother. The letter gets into the hands of one person who doesn't quite know its meaning but thinks he can do something to fulfill its wish, and in turn help re-instill a little bit of magic back into Christmas. However, a mishap that occurs during the fulfillment of the wish might threaten the entire existence of Christmas.
- Albert and Alma, born and raised in Robertville in New Brunswick (Canada), have raised a large family of 16 children. Between 1933 and 1957, a child was born almost every year. Over a period of 80 years, the film recounts the story of this family through testimonies of children and of those who have lived it.
- Four Americans arrive in Québec wishing to visit « La Belle Province ». Acting as their guide, a young local leads them on a wild tour of Montreal and of the whole French speaking region. What the visitors do not know is that the fanciful young man's main purpose is to get Johanne, the couple's nineteen-year-old daughter. Such a lively enterprising young fellow just cannot fail: he ends up charming the girl and keeping her - at least until the next winter.
