- «Time» - the information television program of the Soviet Union «Central Television USSR» (1968-1991) and Russian «First Channel» (1992-...), earlier - the Central Television of the State Television and Radio of the USSR (1968-1991), the All-Union State Television and Radio Company (1991), the Russian state television and broadcasting company «Ostankino» (1994-1996 ). It is aired on the first television channel (until 1991 - on the second, third, fourth and fifth TV channels, as well as on the first channel of Bulgarian television). It is aired daily at 21:00 since 1972, except December 31 and January 1, when the program is on vacation.
- During the post-WW2 reconstruction in Russia, bald-headed technocrat Drozhdov equates communism with the empowerment of the ordinary man over the arrogant "specialness" of genius. Dedicated scientist Lopatkin takes refuge in Moscow with the potty, brilliant old inventor Busko. Lopatkin works tirelessly on his invention, embarking on a roller-coaster of rejection and acceptance, his work vilified, plucked apart and plagiarized by colleagues, particularly by his nemesis Drozhdov. Drozhdov's wife Natasha, alienated from her cold, controlling husband, is increasingly drawn to Lopatkin, whom she knew when they both taught at the same school. Soon she runs away from her husband and happily keeps house for the two absent-minded ex-professors Lopatkin and Busko. Natasha is ready to give Lopatkin her own life, love and faith. Lopatkin is eager to sacrifice his life for the idea, doing the utmost for his motherland.
- Looking for the money for a drink, an alcoholic gets a Newfoundland dog as a present from a stranger at a bird fair. He'll soon find out that the animal is not only able to speak, but to get him to give up drinking as well. Now he's determined to get rid of the dog, but that won't be an easy task.
- To conquer a big city an ex-provincial Masha had to put up with the loss of the man she loved. Life was hard on the heroine but she refused to give up. Masha is still young and attractive; she has a eighteen year old daughter who she brings up alone. Masha's career on television shaped well but her love life failed. From now and then Masha goes on a date with her boss who is hopelessly married. One day Masha makes a program about firemen and after this program love bursts into her life unexpectedly. Pavel differs totally from the men Maria has dated before. As in famous movie "Moscow doesn't believe in tears", their feelings will go through facings but at the end, love will get over all misfortunes.
