- Commander Léa Soler, the new head of the Montpellier investigations division, has to work with Paul Marchal, a brilliant uncontrollable wild card cop who also happens to be her ex-husband...and the father of her two teenage kids.
- Marco returns to Paris after his brother-in-law's suicide, where he targets the man his sister believes caused the tragedy - though he is ill-prepared for her secrets as they quickly muddy the waters.

- Léa and Paul investigate the death of Nicolas, who disappeared the day before during an evening at sea, and whose body was found under a pontoon. The coroner is puzzled by traces of old burns on his chest and urges investigators to find out which hospital he was treated at. They discover that five years ago, when his business burned down in Royan, the victim was badly burned and his secretary died, after which he changed his identity.
- A man's body is found on an industrial site. How did he die? Was he really killed here or was the body dumped here to harm the company? If so, who would benefit from this?

The owner of an olive grove is murdered. Who could have wanted him dead? A competitor? His family? The victim's behavior had changed over several months. The investigators then discover that he had run down a young girl, currently in a coma. - The day after a village festival, the body of guitarist Manolo Torres is found in the square by the postman. Lea and Paul are interested in the private life of the victim who belonged to the Travelers. The gendarmes want to know if the evening has degenerated and if it is a settling of scores. They will also search for Lola, a young flamenco dancer who was seen with Manolo the day before his death.
- The manager of a travelling circus is found dead in a small village. The victim's close circle are all suspects. However, the gendarmes discover a disturbing clue: the family's youngest son was found dead in the same village ten years earlier.
- An amateur astronomer is killed at work. Suspicions initially fall on a couple who were there the night of the murder.

Etienne Monnier is found dead hanging in the outside walls of a castle in ruins. He was a guide for hikers in Ecoloisir, Antoine Crosne's company. Paul thinks it was not suicide, but murder, for there are two marks on his neck. The post-mortem finds a woman's wedding ring inserted in his throat. Estelle Delmas, his girlfriend, is a suspect: she had been engaged before, but the wedding was cancelled. Etienne's mother informs that he was a homeless in the past and thus banned by his girlfriend's family. This can be Paul's last case in the Brigade, for he will be transferred from Marseille to another Gendarmerie station, outside the region. - 2016–202450mTV Episode6.5 (17)

Antoine Crosne drives in his vehicle with Paul to an isolated farm of his own in the middle of the countryside. The brigade issues a capture warrant for Máxime Rouvier: he is a suspect in the murder of Ludivine Crosne, some years before, that was never solved. Meanwhile, Léa summons Laurence Crosne to the Gendarmerie, in case her testimony could shed some light in both cases. - The body of a young woman in a wedding dress is discovered at the bottom of a well. The autopsy reveals that she has been dead for three months. After investigating, Léa and Paul manage to find their identity: it is Audrey Filièrs, a 24-year-old Canadian, who had disappeared on her wedding day.
- After an adventure activity with work colleagues, Corinne Godard, 35, is found hanging in her garden; the scenario rules out suicide and the investigations point to her ex, Bastian Leclerc, who worked at SudImpress company with her, until a rightsizing policy by new manager, David Vicaire. Corinne suffered from stress: her ex was harassing her, David had fired her sister Delphine for robbery in a previous work and SudImpress had hidden from Labour Inspectors an accident in which Jimmy Lecame, one of the workers, lost a hand.

The body of fisherwoman Marie-Anne Pellat is found on the beach. She apparently fell off her fishing boat by accident, but coroner Marvaud confirms murder as cause of death and her missing boat must be located as crime scene. The brigade discovers that financial problems haunted her and several suspects, including her husband Daniel, are investigated. When the ship appears on high seas, the initial investigations point to a fight for controlling the smuggling of bluefin tuna. - 40-year-old veterinarian Alain Leclerc is found murdered at his workplace, the Montpellier Aquarium. At the beginning of the investigations, Léa and Paul realize that he was fighting for the custody of his children with his wife, so that his death would be the result of a family drama. But there were also some discrepancies between the methods he used on the aquarium animals and those of one of his colleagues.
