Take a look at the glowing reviews that the critics have given EVE: "EVE women's wrestling is more than just entertainment: It is a movement.
- Defiant Wrestling is a British professional wrestling promotion founded in 2016 by members of WhatCulture Wrestling, a YouTube subsidiary in WhatCulture. Com, based in Newcastle. The promotion was originally called What's Culture Pro Wrestling named after the YouTube channel WhatCulture; and after leaving several on the air of talent from WCPW, the new general manager on the screen, Stu Bennett, announced that the promotion was re-branded as Defiant Fight.
- Charli and Addy hit the ring for another flurry of strikes, but it's Addy who edged ahead with some knees and a sliding forearm before she went to the outside and grabbed, as Kris Wolf eloquently put it on commentary
- Holidead tried to get under Sammii's skin from the off, as she talked her way into a Test of Strength - which the champion tries to monkey flip out of before the pair went to work on each other's arms.
- 2018TV Mini Series
- Millie McKenzie
A night of decent, generally acceptable matches, with a 'highlight' of Gibson vs. Janela ending with one of the worst, most illogical finishes that I have ever seen." - Best PROGRESS show I've seen. Expectations were high and in fact only women looked a little worse compared to the rest of matches. The ending is what will forever remain in history.
- EVE marked International Women's Day with a return to iPPV - and a tough test for Sammii Jayne, as she put her International title on the line twice in one night.
- We're opening the show with War Games. There was a real intensity before the match got started as both teams surrounded the cage and brawled with one another a bit before being separated. Set a good tone of hatred early on. Emi Sakura is in first for the babyfaces and Blue Nikita for the heels. Nikita went for early pinfalls, which bothered me. I hate the idea that a wrestler wouldn't know the rules of a match they're in, especially on a big show like this. Heels attacked Emi from outside the cage, real dastardly stuff. Emi is a great face in peril. Heels win the coin toss which they did in real time, very old school. There was fun back and forth as the rest of the women came in. Emi was especially good throughout. Evans and Hayter looked quite good on the heel side, taking good bumps and having well timed cutoffs of the babyfaces. Laura Di Matteo has improved quite a bit, her offensive bursts were on point. Addy Starr, who had previously been retired, was good in peril and resorted to a brawling style of offense. Jayla Dark, the heel leader, cannonballed onto everyone in a big moment. Not to be outdone, the babyface leader Rhia O'Reilly dove off the cage onto everyone as a way to make her entrance into the match. From here the momentum swings were done as a team. The faces would all get the upper hand, and then the heels. Quadruple submissions by the heels get broken up. The babyfaces barraged the heels with several team moves. Quadruple submissions by the babyfaces and all the heels tapped. This was a fun opener with a satisfying conclusion.
- We also ended up with our main event for later tonight as well, as Kasey and Charlie Evans ran in to attack Rhia and Charlie's love-in. Addy Starr went to make the save, chasing them away as the obvious main event was set.
- Charlie Morgan got her belt back as a red-hot EVE continued to build for this year's She-1 Series with their latest show at the Resistance Gallery. We've done a horrible job of keeping up with EVE since WrestleQueendom, despite being at their live shows - so we'll recap the main happenings: a week after WrestleQueendom in May, Kasey Owens was revealed to be the mystery assailant of Charlie Morgan from shows prior - and in June she dropped her last name and took the EVE title hostage. Kasey was given the ultimatum of returning the title tonight or she'd face the consequences - as well as lose her shot to get into this year's She-1. Anyway, this show dropped barely 72 hours after it happened, and there's more than just the live edit as we've commentary dubbed in, along with plenty of graphics. This is looking really polished. Dann Read (eyepatch and all) and initially Nina Samuels are on commentary tonight.
- Iwan: This was a shocker of an open to the show, something is going on with NXT UK talents working the Indies again. We've had Nina showing up here, WALTER is facing Cara Noir at wXw (a WWE affiliated promotion in all fairness),
- Iwan: This was one of the matches that I was really looking forward to going into the event, I've become a big fan of Rhio through my excursions up North to TIDAL and she has improved since I first saw her in Snodland Community Centre
- "Good chapter show, Brookes vs. Cooper was an excellent war and my MOTN, WALTER vs. Rampage was a really fun hoss-fest with bombs thrown left and right, the main event was really fun as Travis embraced the newfound boos.
- Angel showed a lot of Frustration here and in throwing her elbow pad to the ref and telling them to shut up allowed her to rake the eyes and then pick up the Victory shortly after.
- Alpha charges out at the bell to batter Rhia in the corner, but the champion fought back as the pair traded right hands, until Rhia headed onto the apron to hotshot Alpha in the ropes.
- This is the first Progress show that I have watched from beginning to end. While I don? t think it was the best show I? ve ever seen, it was a great introduction to the company and the card delivered in all aspects.
- Loxton looked a little nervous before the bell, but those nerves quickly were shed as the pair started grappling before a broken full nelson led to them beginning to throw proverbial bombs at each other.
- He Built to Destroy special event was outstanding. The previous shows has been a bit average but I'm glad they've finally worked it out and replaced the commentators.
- Jetta manages to land her version of the elbow, then countered an Unprettier from Clementine before she blocked a wheelbarrow for a standing pin. Not quite how you usually see that done, but it was effective.
- Iwan: We had Ava with a pre-match promo, saying that the fans should be more thankful for her. Ava has good mic skills but I do feel like she needs a direction as I still don't really know what her character is.
- I then went to get my train from Bromley North and the 17:47 was cancelled so had to wait until the 18:00 service to London Victoria, that's where I met up with Paul, Dave, Adam and Chris before traversing the London Underground
