The protagonists are the inhabitants of Zaciszna Street in Warsaw. Some of them have known each other for years, some have just moved to the "Pod Sosnami" estate. The younger ones look for their way, the older ones try to find themselves in the new reality. For many years, viewers have been following the fate of the Marczak, Pyrka, Grzelak, Górka Cieslak, Zwolenski and Walawski families. Worries, troubles, controversies, life problems, dramas - it all adds up to the reality of the series' characters. There are many difficult topics, such as the problem of social and racial tolerance, LGBT, infertility, domestic violence and mental diseases.

The story takes place in a small Uroczysko near Wroclaw, where "Santa Claus" - Mikolaj Bialach's bar is located. Although the officer known from the series "Policjantki i Policjanci" has thrown off his uniform and started running the premises, he still cannot pass by indifferently when someone needs help. His police instincts continue to kick in and he never fails. Persuaded by his employees, dissatisfied with what is happening in their native village, Bialach becomes the head of Uroczysko. After all, who, if not Mikolaj - the "patron of hopeless matters" - will be able to overcome the apathy and fear prevailing here, and finally restore order? Independent and intimidating Bialach, he will become the real sheriff of Uroczysko, coming into conflict with the most important person in the area - Krzysztof Kordas, the owner of a cold cuts processing plant. Nothing happens in the village without the knowledge and consent of Kordas, and nobody dares to mess with him, especially since the last village leader went missing in unexplained circumstances. There is only one person at whom the businessman shaking the area softens like a wax - this is his spoiled and entertaining 19-year-old daughter Luiza.

After the recent adventures in the provinces friends parted and dispersed around the world. In his hometown he remained only a "neck" or Tom Zarówny. Working on the highway, "Neck" meets accidentally agent stars, Clementina, who kidnaps him for a few days to Warsaw. The wife decides to bring him home by force.
